Dr. Ricardo Hanel is the Director of the Baptist Neurological Institute and a nationally recognized neurosurgeon specializing in endovascular, vascular, and tumor neurosurgery. He is highly experienced in mechanical thrombectomy and both endovascular and microsurgical treatments for complex cerebrovascular diseases, including minimally invasive aneurysm therapies. A prolific researcher, he has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications, led more than 80 clinical trials, and contributed to the development of new technologies and AI applications in stroke care. Dr. Hanel is also deeply committed to education, having trained numerous clinical and research fellows over the past two decades. His extensive training spans Brazil and the United States, and he continues to serve in leadership roles across major neurosurgical and cerebrovascular organizations.

Prof. Ajay K. Wakhloo, MD, PhD, FAHA directs the Neurointerventional Radiology program at Beth Israel Lahey Health, Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and is Professor at Tufts University Medical School, Boston. He completed a fellowship in interventional Neuroradiology in Germany and Endovascular Neurosurgery in the department of Neurosurgery at SUNY-Buffalo, NY. He has been the principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), private foundations, and industry and has authored or co-authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on stroke treatment. Prof. Wakhloo pioneered the field of flow diversion, the newest technology for the minimally invasive treatment of brain aneurysms, and introduced the concept of a retrievable stent to remove an embolus for the treatment of stroke.

Dr. Raul Nogueira is the Director of the UPMC Stroke Institute and Endowed Professor of Cerebrovascular Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a past President of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology (SVIN) and the former Editor-in-Chief of Interventional Neurology. A globally recognized leader in stroke research, Dr. Nogueira has delivered invited lectures in over 30 countries and maintains an extensive academic network spanning the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He has held leadership roles in numerous landmark stroke thrombectomy trials and has authored over 600 peer-reviewed publications.
